PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber structure not only having sufficient infrared-reflecting properties but also being inexpensively and easily produced, and to provide a method for producing the fiber structure. SOLUTION: The fiber structure is produced by soaking a fiber textile for a lace curtain which is obtained by subjecting a textured yarn comprising a polyethylene terephthalate to lacework, in a mixed solution obtained by mixing a water dispersion of tin oxide, water-dispersed polyurethane, and water in a prescribed proportion, squeezing the resultant fiber textile through a mangle so that the squeezing rate of the treating liquid may have a prescribed rate, and subjecting the squeezed fiber textile to heat treatment at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed time while extending the wrinkles by stretching the fiber textile in the width direction in a tenter.
