PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration caused by magnetic imbalance while suppressing reduction in output of a commutator motor. SOLUTION: A width-direction center section of the end of tooth 43 of an armature core 7 is cut according to an amount of imbalance to correct a weight imbalance of an armature 2. In particular, the cutting width tb of a balance correction core cutting section 18 is made narrower than the tooth width tw, the width of the balance correction core cutting section 18 is made narrower gradually from the end section of the tooth 43 to a root section, and the tooth end width ta is made wider than the tooth end thickness th.
