PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method for forming a seal material, which absorbs moisture and cures to express adhesion, on a surface of a to-be-sealed material, wherein the sealability between the to-be-sealed material and the seal material is greatly improved compared with conventional ones by adding a simple improvement in a manufacturing method to conventional sealing methods. SOLUTION: In the sealing method for forming the seal material, which absorbs moisture and cures to express adhesion (e.g., FIPG), on the surface Wa of to-be-sealed material W, the seal material B is formed on the surface Wa after a pretreatment is performed in which a gas of high temperature and high humidity (high temperature steam, etc.) or high-temperature water or aqueous solution is provided on the surface Wa of to-be-sealed material W.
