Specifically provided is an image processing device comprising a first image acquisition unit (320) which acquires, as a first image, an image including a subject image having information in a white-light wavelength band, a second image acquisition unit (330) which acquires, as a second image, an image including a subject image having information in a specific wavelength band, an attention candidate region detection unit (341) which, on the basis of the characteristic amounts of pixels in the second image, detects an attention candidate region that is a candidate for a region to which attention should be paid, a reliability calculation unit (342) which calculates the reliability indicating the degree of certainty that the detected attention candidate region is an attention region, and a display form setting unit (343) which performs processing for setting the display form of an output image according to the calculated reliability.
