<p>Disclosed is a new sliding fastener wherein a fastener element with a unique shape is created through a new concept, and a plurality of fastener units are arranged in a layered structure, such that one fastener unit is sequentially overlapped with another fastener unit. The sliding fastener is configured of elements and sliders disposed in arrays in line with edge portions of opening and closing ends relative to fastener tape, wherein the elements comprise a horizontal function portion further comprising an interlacing portion upon one end and a fastener tape affixing portion upon the other end, in the horizontal direction; an upper vertical function portion further comprising a fitting piece that extends upward upon the interlacing portion, and a lower vertical function portion further comprising a fitting receiving piece that extends downward upon the fastener tape affixing portion, the vertical function portions thereof being orthogonal to the horizontal function portion; wherein a plurality of fastener units are arranged by positioning the elements so as to face one another and make the slider slide along the interval between the facing elements, making the interlacing portions interlace, thereby forming fitting units with the fitting pieces of the facing elements and forming fitting receiving units with the fitting receiving pieces of the facing elements, fitting the fitting unit of a first fastener unit with the fitting receiving unit of a second fastener unit, and sequentially fitting the fitting receiving units of new fastener units with the fitting units of the fastener units immediately preceding thereupon, resulting in a layered structure of a plurality of fastener units.</p> |
