Disclosed is a fake-finger determination device which improves the precision of determining a fake finger wherein a thin film has been attached to the surface of the finger. The fake-finger determination device is provided with an image capture unit (10) which captures a reflected light image and a transmitted light image of an object to be authenticated by fingerprint authentication; a classification unit (31) which classifies the reflected light image and the transmitted light image, on the basis of hue values of pixels included in each image, into each of a foreground portion having features of a skin region and a background portion not having features of the skin region; a detection unit (32) which compares the foreground portion of one of either the reflected light image or the transmitted light image with the background portion of the other of the images and detects an overlapping portion; and a determination unit (33) which uses the overlapping portion to determine whether foreign matter is present in the vicinity of the finger.
