PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the production of a filler capable of maintaining a favorable pasty property and a dental composition containing the filler obtained by the process. SOLUTION: The process includes an impregnating treatment of the filler (an organic composite filler, an organic filler and an inorganic filler) used for the dental composition with a polymeric monomer in advance, and the process for the production includes impregnating the filler with a component including at least one polymeric monomer, and the dental composition includes the filler obtained by the disclosed process for the production.
