PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cylinder control method and an electric cylinder control system that can prevent a pressurizing load from exceeding a target load and that is driven by a servo motor that can shorten pressurization time. SOLUTION: A servo controller 17 is configured such that the driving speed of a rod 11 and the stop load Ps (used for determining to stop the rod 11 so that the pressurizing load Pm does not greatly exceed the target load Pt) can be set; the servo controller 17 drives the rod 11 by means of position control, and determines whether or not the pressurizing load Pm detected by a load detector 13 is greater than or equal to the stop load Ps; if the pressurizing load Pm is determined to be greater than or equal to the stop load Ps, the servo controller 17 outputs a reverse direction position command pulse signal to a servo amplifier 16, and the residual pulse accumulated in the servo amplifier 16 is forcibly reduced such that the rod 11 stops at a load not greatly exceeding the target load Pt.
