PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shunt murmur monitoring system, when a dialysis patient undergoes a dialysis treatment, constantly measuring the shunt murmur of the dialysis patient and, when the blood pressure decreases, abnormality in a shunt portion is found or abnormal physical conditions occurs, allowing an abnormal state transmission section to issue various types of alarms; and to provide a shunt murmur monitoring method. SOLUTION: This shunt murmur monitoring system 100 for the dialysis patient is constituted by sequentially connecting a sensor 2, a sensor amplifier 2, an electric signal integrator 3 and a shunt murmur intensity monitor 4. In this shunt murmur monitoring system, the sensor 1 is retained to an arm position of the dialysis patient, and the shunt murmur intensity monitor 4 includes a data computing section 41, a data storage section 42, a data display section 45, a data determination section 43 and the abnormal state transmission section 44.
