PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize an organic light emitting element which is made thinner without impairing the performance of a conventional organic light emitting element, and to provide a flexible (bendable) display device by using the organic light emitting element, and an electronic apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The organic light emitting element includes a substrate 1, a gate electrode 2 formed on the substrate 1, a gate insulating film 3 formed on the gate electrode 2, a first electrode (source electrode 4) formed on the gate insulating film 3, an organic compound layer 6 of at least one layer formed on the first electrode, and a second electrode (drain electrode 8) formed on the organic compound layer 6.
