PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary wave components in technique for extracting in vivo information from a target position using a continuous wave. SOLUTION: A phase adjusting part 23 outputs a plurality of modulation signals wherein phases are shifted from each other by adjusting phases of modulation signals obtained from a modulation wave generating part 24. An FM modulation part 20 generates a plurality of FM continuous waves using a plurality of modulation signals outputted from the phase adjusting part 23 and the plurality of continuous waves are added to form transmission signals in an adding part 21. A reception mixer 30 uses reference signals in which correlation with an in vivo target position is adjusted to apply a demodulation process to the reception signals to obtain demodulation signals corresponding to the target position. Because transmission signals with addition of a plurality of respectively phase-shifted FM continuous waves are used, unnecessary components included in the demodulation signals are reduced.
