<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin grain oriented electrical steel sheet whose thickness is controlled to 0.15 to 0.23 mm, which is low in core loss, is high in space factor and has high magnetic flux density, and to provide an insulating film-covered thin grain oriented electrical steel sheet. <P>SOLUTION: In the thin grain oriented electrical steel sheet having a film comprising a magnesium silicate and having a sheet thickness of 0.15 to 0.23 mm, Mg is comprised by 1.5 to 2.5 g/m<SP>2</SP>by mass expressed in terms of metal, and the surface of the steel sheet is applied with a covering by a tension insulating film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
