<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight for a vehicle preventing occurrence of defects due to the sunlight. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight mounts a lamp unit 6 which is equipped with a light-emitting diode 11b used as a light source, a reflector 12 reflecting light emitted from the light-emitting diode, an optical member 13 made of a transparent resin material having a function to shield a part of light emitted from the light-emitting diode, and a projection lens 16 transmitting and projecting the light emitted from the light-emitting diode. The optical member is equipped with a base part 14 located at a rear side with a vicinity of the focal point of the projection lens as a reference, and a lens holding part 15 protruded toward a front side from the base part and attaching the projection lens at the tip. A shading part 14b is formed by surface treatment in a region extending toward the rear from the spot near the focal point of the projection lens at the base part of the optical member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
