<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for providing information using images which are difficult to view for a human being. <P>SOLUTION: The information providing system includes a display device on a transmission side and an imaging apparatus on a reception side. The display device includes a display part and a display control part. The display part displays a first image including a transmission object image and a second image not including the transmission object image, and the display control part executes control of cyclically repeating a first period during which the display part momentarily displays the first image and a second period during which the display part continuously displays the second image. Also, the imaging apparatus includes an imaging part for generating picked-up images and a determination part. The determination part specifies an image for which the first image is picked up on the basis of the cyclic detection pattern of the picked-up image in a time base direction from among the plurality of picked-up images obtained by continuously picking up the picture of the display part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
