PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of print density or strike through of printing paper caused by a blur without clogging of a nozzle of an ink jet head. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes the inkjet head 31 for delivering ultraviolet curing type ink to the printing paper W conveyed on a circulation conveyance passage CR, an ultraviolet ray irradiation part 132 disposed on a lower part of the circulation conveyance passage CR in a position opposing to a delivery surface of an inkjet head unit 31 and irradiating the ultraviolet ray to the conveyed printing paper W, a light transmittance detecting part 135 for detecting a light transmittance of the printing paper conveyed to the inkjet head, a storage means for storing an output table, and an ultraviolet ray irradiation control part 70a for calculating energy of the ultraviolet ray irradiated by the ultraviolet ray irradiation part 132 based on the detected light transmittance and the output table and making the ultraviolet ray irradiation part 132 irradiate the ultraviolet ray with the calculated energy.
