PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition of the polylactic acid resin type which can obtain molded articles having good external appearance even in deep colored articles and, in addition, balanced mechanical properties and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin includes a rubber-containing graft copolymer as component (A), a vinylic copolymer as component (B), a (meth)acrylic ester polymer as component (C), and a polylactic acid resin as component (D) and as each of component (A) to component (D), component (A) is 15-60 wt.%; component (B) is 10-55 wt.%; component (C) is 0-50 wt.%; and component (D) is 5-55 wt.%, and relationship in the melt viscosity at 220°C and 1,000 s<SP>-1</SP>between a resin composition (E) composed only of the vinylic copolymer as component (B) and the (meth)acrylic ester polymer as component (C) and the polylactic acid resin as component (D) is in the range of 0.30≤ηof component (D)/ηof component (E)≤0.80.
