PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophoretic display sheet, for manufacturing an electrophoretic display sheet having a high contrast, and to provide an electrophoretic display sheet manufactured by the method, an electrophoretic display device having high reliability, and an electronic apparatus having high reliability. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an electrophoretic display sheet 21 having a substrate 12 and a microcapsule-containing layer 400 disposed on one surface side of the substrate and including microcapsules 40 and a binder 41, includes the step of forming the microcapsule-containing layer where the microcapsules are arranged in a single layer without overlapping in the thickness direction of the substrate by supplying a microcapsule dispersion containing the microcapsules and the binder onto the substrate and then pressurizing the microcapsule dispersion in the thickness direction of the substrate.
