PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which includes a magneto-optic disk in which a magnetic wire is used to form tracks serving as a data recording region, and reproduces data in two or more tracks in parallel; and to provide a method. SOLUTION: The reproduction device includes: a controller which selects four adjacent tracks 5 of the magneto-optic disk 50; a current supplier which is connected to electrodes provided at both ends of the tracks 5 and supplies a pulse current to the selected tracks 5; a magnetic transfer film 8 tightly attached to a region including a reproduction region 5<SB>RO</SB>fixed to each of all the tracks 5 in a surface of the magneto-optic disk 50; an optical system which emits polarized light transmitted through the magnetic transfer film 8 to the selected tracks 5, and a detector which detects an optical rotation angle of the polarized light reflected from the tracks 5, and reproduces data recorded in the four tracks 5 in parallel. Magnetic domain walls generated in the tracks 5 are intermittently moved by the pulse current, and when the magnetic domain walls are stopped, data in a region which has reached the reproduction region 5<SB>RO</SB>is reproduced.
