The device (1) has a filter element (2) e.g. ring filter element, separating a raw area (3) from a pure area (4), and an inlet (7) provided to the raw area. An input side of an ejector pump (9) is coupled with the inlet and a sump (8) and an output side of the ejector pump is coupled with the raw area. The ejector pump mixes water with fluid, which is to be filtered, where the fluid is collected in the sump. The ejector pump forms an integral component of the inlet. The ejector pump is formed from plastic, and a valve or hand pump is arranged in the raw area.
