<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit forming both a low beam light distribution pattern and a high beam light distribution pattern with a simpler structure. <P>SOLUTION: The optical unit includes: a first reflector 16 configured to intersect with an irradiation axis X of a semiconductor light emitting element 12a, to reflect light from the semiconductor light emitting element 12a and to irradiate the front of a vehicle with it through a condenser lens, thereby forming at least part of the high beam light distribution pattern; a second reflector 18 disposed adjacent to the first reflector 16 and configured to reflect light from the semiconductor light emitting element 12a, thereby forming at least part of the low beam light distribution pattern; a shade member configured to be freely displaced to a position where it shades light reflected from the first reflector 16 to obtain a low beam forming state and a position where it allows irradiation of the front of the vehicle with the light reflected from the first reflector 16 to obtain a high beam forming state; and a shade drive portion for displacing the shade member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
