PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize the length of a fixing device in the direction of the medium width while reducing unevenness in light quantity of radiated light. SOLUTION: The fixing device (F) includes: a fixing member (1) having at least a first light-emitting member (1a) arranged in a position separated from a medium (P) only by a distance which is a preset first distance (d1) and a second light-emitting member (1b) arranged in a position separated by a second distance (d2) which is longer than the first distance (d1); and a light emission control means (C1) having the first light-emitting member (1a) emit light at a preset light emission cycle (T) as well as having the second light-emitting member (1b) emit light simultaneously with the first light-emitting member (1a) or by shifting a time period by a time duration (td) which is shorter than a half cycle (T/2) of the light emission cycle (T).
