PURPOSE: An apparatus for increasing propulsion power of a vessel is provided to prevent vortex from generating around the circumferential surface of a propeller due to seawater, which flows toward the propeller. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for increasing propulsion power of a vessel comprises a streamlined member(110) and a cylindrical cap(120). The streamlined member is installed on the side of the rear area of a vessel(10), in which a propeller(11) is installed. As it becomes close to stern along the outer frame of the vessel, the width of the streamlined member becomes narrow. A seawater inlet hole(111) is formed on the front of the streamlined member in the moving direction of the vessel. A seawater flow path is formed in the streamlined member. The cylindrical cap is integrally formed on the end of the streamlined member and protects the circumferential surface of the propeller. |
