<p>The present invention provides a system( 10) for filtration, re-circulation and monitoring fryer oil. The drainage from the fryer (1) is controlled, such that the fryer (1) is in operable condition while the oil is being filtered. A controller, programmed with a timer, regulates pump operation. The present invention maintains cleaned oil for constant use in a deep fryer (1). The filter housing (7) withstands positive pressures, such that the system (10) is weather resistant for outdoor storage and filtration, allowing for a variety of filter media and filter sizes that would not have been compatible using ambient pressure. The pump (12) is located between the fryer (1) and the filter. A pre-filter (6) is installed in the base of the fryer (1). The return back-flush of filtered oil through the fryer drain allows this pre-filter and fryer drains to remain relatively clean from clogging by particulate matter and debris.</p> |
