<p>An inter-bottom-wall sliding guide member which is subjected to a vertical load is provided between the bottom wall section of an upper rail and that of a lower rail. The lower rail comprises a high guide section on one side and a low guide section on the other side, the height of the high guide section from the bottom wall section of the lower rail being different from the height of the low guide from the aforementioned bottom wall section. A high guide section side sliding guide member is held between the inner surface of the high guide section of the lower rail and a high guide approach section of the upper rail, and a low guide section side sliding guide member is held between the inner surface of the low guide section of the lower rail and a low guide approach section of the upper rail, both the aforementioned high guide section side sliding guide member and low guide section side sliding guide member serving to restrict relative movement between the lower rail and the upper rail in a direction intersecting with the direction in which the load is input into the inter-bottom-wall sliding guide member. The low guide section side sliding guide member consists of a sliding piece which is fixed to the low guide approach section of the upper rail and has two surfaces that abut the inner surface of the low guide section of the lower rail, resulting in restrictions being imposed on the relative movement. Due to the above, miniaturization of the rail cross-sectional shapes and reduction in the cost are achieved.</p> |
