PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing Portland cement using molybdenum tailings and the Portland cement are provided to reduce environmental contamination by recycling the molybdenum tailings as cement raw materials. CONSTITUTION: Calcareous materials, allitic materials, and ferric materials are mixed with molybdenum tailings. The mixture is pulverized. The pulverized mixture is formed into a sphere shape. A drying process and a calcining process are implemented. The sphere shaped mixture is reacted at temperature between 1300 and 1500 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes. A retarder is added. A pulverizing process is followed.
