COATING MATERIAL COMPOSITION FOR FORMING PRIMER LAYER FILM, AND PLASTIC LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material composition for forming a primer layer film provided between a plastic base material and a thermosetting hard coat layer film, and to provide a plastic lens in which a primer layer film is formed by using the coating material composition.

SOLUTION: The coating material composition for forming a primer layer film contains (1) anionic emulsion fine particles of a polycarbonate-based polyurethane compound having a cross-link structure, (2) surface-modified metal oxide particles in each of which the surface of a metal oxide fine particle having a core-shell structure is modified with an organic amine compound, and (3) a polar organic solvent having a carbonyl group, and has a pH within a range of 6.0-9.0. In the plastic lens, a primer layer film is formed by using the coating material composition.
