<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply device which includes a sub toner storage part configured so that toner can be conveyed from a toner storage part, and configured so that the conveyed toner is temporarily stored and the stored toner can be fed to a developing device, and which compatibly achieves prevention of occurrence of an abnormal image due to the toner flowing into the developing device and maintenance of quality of image density when performing repeat printing at a high image area ratio. <P>SOLUTION: Conveyance of the toner from the toner storage part to the sub toner storage part is controlled to be in a state where the toner of a predetermined amount or more is stored in the sub toner storage part. Feed of the toner from the sub toner storage part to the developing device is controlled as necessary in the developing device.
