PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf support dowel capable of preventing the interference of a shelf plate and a stay member without additionally performing complicated processing to the shelf plate even when attached to a storage shelf that has a stay member for joining an inside surface of a storage portion and a door body for closing the storage portion. SOLUTION: The shelf support dowel 4 includes: a gap formation portion 40 which is positioned between an inner side surface 3 of a storage portion 2 and a side end surface of the shelf plate 11 and forms a gap between them; a dowel projection portion 41 which is provided on one side surface of the gap formation portion 40 and is fitted into a dowel hole 12 formed on the inside surface 3; and a shelf plate holding portion 68 which is provided on the other side surface of the gap formation portion 40 and holds the side end of the shelf plate 11. The shelf plate holding portion 68 includes: a shelf plate mounting portion 42 for mounting the shelf plate 11; and a shelf plate opposing surface 43 which includes the other side surface of the gap formation portion 40 positioned above the shelf plate mounting portion 42 and abuts on or opposed to the side end surface of the shelf plate 11.
