PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair iron capable of preventing damage to the scalp, ears and fingers caused by burns and capable of improving the operability, and especially, a safe hair iron easy to use and capable of preventing burns with heat of the hair iron. SOLUTION: The hair iron 1 includes at least an arm. The arm includes a heater portion 7 capable of heating hair, and contact preventing means 19 capable of protecting the heater portion 7.
