PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve brake controllability, when a vehicle travels over a corner. SOLUTION: A braking force control device of the vehicle exerts a reaction force accompanying energy regeneration and friction on a wheel as braking force; minimum rate of braking force which is to be generated in energy regeneration in braking force during turning is decided in advance as a function of lateral force during turning; braking force by energy regeneration, when a braking request is given during turning, is obtained so that the ratio of the requested braking force does not become less than the minimum ratio; energy regeneration is performed so that braking force by requested energy regeneration can be obtained; and residual braking force, other than the braking force due to energy regeneration in the requested braking force is generated by the frictional force.
