PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodynamic speaker which is excellent in sound reproducing capability and suited to be attached to an apparatus such as a display with respect to a thin type electrodynamic speaker having a flat diaphragm. SOLUTION: The electrodynamic speaker includes a roughly square flat diaphragm, a voice coil connected to the almost center of the flat diaphragm, a magnetic circuit having a magnetic gap where a coil of the voice coil is arranged, a frame for fixing the magnetic circuit to the magnetic circuit fixing part at the center, a plurality of cushion materials for connecting the back surface side of the flat diaphragm and the frame at a plurality of parts, and an edge whose outer peripheral end is fixed to the edge fixing part of the frame and inner peripheral end is fixed to the outer peripheral end of the flat diaphragm. The frame has a plurality of connection parts for connecting the edge fixing part in a roughly square edge fixing part and the magnetic circuit fixing part. One end side of the cushion materials is fixed to the connection part of the frame, and the edge has a movable part whose cross section is flat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
