PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent streaks for which marks of mirror surface working of an intaglio printing plate appear on a surface of a primer layer exposed at an opening from becoming optical defects, when forming a conductor pattern layer of an electromagnetic wave shielding material, as a conductive composition layer comprising conductive particles and a resin binder by a drawing primer type intaglio printing method on a transparent base material by interposing a primer layer. SOLUTION: A conductor pattern layer 3 is formed through a primer layer 2 on a transparent base material 1, the thickness of the primer layer 2 at the formation part of the conductor pattern layer is greater than that at a non-formation part, and for many straight streaks 5 which are parallel to each other and appear on the surface of the primer layer exposed at an opening 4 which is the non-formation part, an inclination angleθwhich is a minor angle formed by the extending direction of the streak and the short side of the electromagnetic wave shielding material 10 with a rectangular outer shape is set to the range of 5-90°. For the image display apparatus, the electromagnetic wave shielding material is arranged on the front surface of a PDP wherein a primer layer surface faces a PDP side with a space therebetween and the short side is parallel to a display vertical direction.
