PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing expanded metals, by which finely perforated plates can be efficiently manufactured and finely perforated plate for plate thickness can be manufactured. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the expanded metal, corrugated blades having a stripe-pattern-shaped blades are arranged oppositely to each other at an upper part and a lower part, a flat plate 5 is fed between the upper and lower corrugated blades, the flat plate 5 is pressed from the upper part and the lower part with both corrugated blades, the flat plate 5 is formed into a corrugated shape and meshes are formed on the flat plate 5 by shearing, the processes are repeated, and the flat plate 5 is formed. Laminated blades 3, 4 in which a plurality of thin corrugated blades 3a-3e, 4a-4e are laminated in the feeding direction of the flat plate 5 so that the corrugated shapes are shifted, are used as the corrugated blade, and pressing is successively performed from the top part to the rear part of the flat plate 5 with the plurality of thin corrugated blades 3a-3e, 4a-4e of the laminated blades 3, 4, and two or more meshes are formed by one stroke of the vertical movement of the laminated blades 3, 4.
