摘要 PURPOSE: A modular robot for detecting articles and an article detecting method thereof are provided to enable convenient and accurate sensing of articles by determining the existence of articles based on the rotation angle and current of a motor and the sensing results of a touch sensor and a distance sensor. CONSTITUTION: A modular robot for detecting articles using a plurality of actuator modules(10) comprises an article sensor(130) and a determination unit(170). The article sensor is formed in one of the actuator modules which are set to grip articles and senses the grip of articles. The determination unit determines whether an actuator module picks up articles based on the sensing signal from the article sensor.
