<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve power saving and improve user operability during a power mode purposing power saving. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a control unit for switching between a plurality of power modes to indicate whether to supply power to an operation unit, a scanner and a printer; and a power supply unit for supplying power in accordance with the power mode. The plurality of power modes include a first power mode during which power from the power supply unit is supplied to none of the operation unit, the scanner and the printer, and a second power mode during which power from the power supply unit is supplied to the operation unit and the printer and power from the power supply unit is not supplied to the scanner. During the first power mode, when a communication unit receives from the outside a print request requesting printing of an image indicated by image data to a medium, the control unit switches from the first power mode to the second power mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
