<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outlet, along with a power distribution system, capable of selectively regulating power supply to a connected electric appliance when predetermined conditions are met. <P>SOLUTION: The AC outlet 50 to which an AC appliance is connected is equipped on a power supply system having a controller for controlling the power supply to the AC appliance. The AC outlet 50 includes a switch 69 capable of switching an ON-state for permitting power supply to the AC appliance and an OFF-state for regulating the power supply to the AC appliance.
