PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for manufacturing an optical film which, in the optical film manufacturing method, suppress the entanglement of a broken cut edge with the cutting device between the cutting part of a cutting device and a recovery box, and are high in productivity. SOLUTION: The optical film manufacturing method includes a heating process in which both ends in the width direction of a resin film are heated after a stretching process, a correction process in which the resin film is corrected by pressing/contacting a pinching member to both ends in the width direction of the resin film after the heating process, and a cutting process which is carried out after the correction process.
