PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yacht having an automatic sail operation mechanism, maneuverable even by a beginner without requiring skill for operation, having high safety, and inexpensively manufacturable in a small and lightweight type. SOLUTION: This yacht includes: a hull 1 for allowing a crew S to board an upper part; a mast 2 erected in a hull upper part; a yard 3 extending toward the upper oblique rear to the hull, connected to the mast in a midway part in its longitudinal direction, connected to the hull in a lower end part and laterally movable with respective connecting parts as a fulcrum; a sail 4 for installing a front edge part along the yard; a boom 5 for supporting the sail in an extension state; a ladder arranged in a hull lower part; a tail fin 13 installed in a rear end part of the hull; and an elastic body 9 for connecting a rear lower end part of the sail and the hull or the tail fin.
