<p>The bearing has a radial bearing part designed as a structured pneumatic bearing. Air for the radial bearing part is supplied from a ventilation region provided behind a compressor. An axial bearing part is designed as a combined active and/or passive magnet bearing and an electric motor with disc-shaped rotor. A water cooling device is attached in sensible regions. The bearing carries axial loads, discharges additional torque from a rotor and introduces the torque for acceleration of the turbocharger.</p>
