A fastening device which may be secured to a ring, eyelet or the like comprises a trunk member 11 a spring loaded key 19 and a tongue 18 extending through a slot 16 in the trunk 11. The key 19 may be moved from its inoperative position, in which its edge 26 is aligned with the tongue 18 so that a ring-like member 28 may be slid over the trunk 11, to an operative position as shown in Fig. 6 in which the ring 28 cannot be removed. The tongue member may be formed as an extension of the trunk 11. The components may be of metal or plastics material. |
