PURPOSE: An illumination control device and method thereof are provided to automate an illumination setting task through a computer system of a component method according to the scale of a subject. CONSTITUTION: An illumination unit(170) includes an illumination component(100). An illumination measuring unit measures the illumination of the light that is radiated from the illumination unit. A photographing unit photographs a subject. A control unit controls the illumination unit, the illumination measuring unit, and the photographing unit through an interface. The controller analyzes a subject from the photographing unit based on the surface feature of the subject. The controller controls the illumination of the illumination unit.
