<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, to receive authentication in a plurality of environments (services etc.), it is required to prepare authentication media corresponding to the environments equal to the number of the environments. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an authentication system 10 integrating or mediating information related to authentication of each of a plurality of environments to enable the authentication in an already compatible environment compatible to other environments. An authentication command corresponding to a used authentication medium 20 is transmitted from the authentication system 10 to an operation system 40 which is an operation system of each environment and for which authentication requirement is made.
