PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for managing channels for a plurality of digital broadcasting methods.

SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method of managing channels, including the steps of selecting one or more of a plurality of digital broadcasting methods with respect to each of a plurality of physical channels in a predetermined reception range; searching for broadcasting channels which corresponds to the selected one or more broadcasting methods; and storing channel information of the detected broadcasting channels in a memory. Accordingly, an efficient and convenient method of managing channels is provided, in an environment of a plurality of digital broadcasting standards.
