<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-efficient power distribution system capable of saving power to be supplied from a power supply to load equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The power distribution system 50 includes: the load equipment (e.g. DC equipment 5) for consuming power supplied from the power supply (commercial AC power supply 2 or a distributed power supply 54); and a control unit 7 for controlling a power distribution system 52 including the load equipment. The system has a plurality of power control modes varying power consumption to be consumed by the load equipment.
