PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder configured to prevent a delivery failure by improving the feeding of a recording medium such as a curled recording paper. SOLUTION: The paper feeder 100 includes: a loading member 101 provided with a lifting part 103 lifting the front end in the delivery direction of a plurality of pieces of recording paper loaded; and a rotatable delivery member 104 opposing to the lifting part 103. When the lifting part 103 lifts, the delivery member 104 comes in contact with the recording paper to configure a holding position N of the recording paper. The paper feeder 100 is provided with a guide member 120, near the outer periphery of a delivery member 104, disposed opposing to the upper surface of the front end of the recording paper in the delivery direction, and orienting the front end, in the delivery direction, of the recording paper delivered toward the holding position N, toward downstream of the delivery member 104 in the rotating direction, to guide to the holding position N.
