PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod which is hardly broken, even when a tip portion is forcibly bent. SOLUTION: A plurality of guides G into which a fishing line is inserted are attached to the rod 2 of a fishing rod 1 in the longitudinal direction of the rod 2, and a top guide 5 is attached to the tip portion 2a of the rod 2. A yarn-like article 6 wound on the outside of the tip portion 2a of the rod 2 and the cap portion 5c of the top guide 5 are cover-attached to the tip portion 2a of the rod 2. The yarn-like article 6 is extended from the cap portion 5c to the butt portion 2b of the rod 2. The cap portion 5c-covered portion of the tip portion 2a is further wound with the second yarn-like article 7 from the outside to prevent the slippage of the cap portion 5c from the tip portion 2a.
