PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner securing ultimate low-temperature fixing property, preventing property for winding of a recording medium during fixing, high temperature storage property, pressure-resistant storage property, developing stability and applicability to fast printing, and to provide a developer, a process cartridge, an image forming apparatus and an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: The toner has a core-shell structure having a core and a shell having a thickness of 0.01μm to 2μm on the surface of the core, characterized in that: the core contains at least a binder resin and a coloring agent; the shell contains at least a crystalline polyester resin; the shell has a thermal hardness St of from 0.7 to 1.8; and the core has a softening index of from 60°C to 85°C.
