PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking locking device 1 having fewer components without sacrificing a stability of a locking state. SOLUTION: The parking locking device 1 is equipped with a lock lever 3 and a cam 6, which respectively have flat surfaces 16 and 17 brought into surface contact with each other while the lock lever 3 is engaged with a parking gear 2. This allows components necessary for switching between locking and unlocking states, to be reduced into three ones, the lock lever 3, an energizing means 4, and the cam 6. The locking state is also stabilized since the flat surfaces 16 and 17, which the lock lever 3 and the cam 6 respectively have, come into surface contact with each other. Therefore, the components for the parking locking device 1 are reduced in number without the lowering of the stability of the locking state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
