PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hairdressing agent composition that exhibits excellent setting power and imparts good softness to the hair after coated therewith. SOLUTION: The hairdressing agent composition includes at least a wax or a hydrocarbon which is solid at 25°C, a dimer dilinoleate and a branched acyllactic acid salt. Preferably, the branched acyllactic acid salt is sodium isostearoyl lactate. Preferably, both a wax solid at 25°C and a hydrocarbon solid at 25°C are compounded.
