A compound-type wind-driven electric power generator configured in such a manner that the size of Magnus wind wheels is increased by disposing a propeller wind wheel and the Magnus wind wheels next to each other to thereby increase the amount of electric power generation. A compound-type wind-driven electric power generator is provided with a propeller wind wheel (2) formed by providing propeller blades (2a) to a horizontal rotation shaft (13); Magnus wind wheels (3) provided with Magnus blades (3a) which have helical protrusions formed on the outer surfaces thereof and rotate about vertical center shafts (3a1), the vertical center shafts (3a1) which respectively rotatably support the Magnus blades, and a bevel gear mechanism (12) which transmits to a horizontal rotation shaft (14) the rotational force of the Magnus blades (3a) acting about the vertical center shafts thereof; generators (16, 17) respectively driven by the horizontal rotation shaft of the Magnus wind wheels (3) and the horizontal rotation shaft of the propeller wind wheel; and connection shafts (11) which each connect the outer end of the vertical center shaft of each Magnus wind wheel to an adjacent propeller blade. The horizontal rotation shaft of the propeller wind wheel and the horizontal rotation shaft of the Magnus wind wheels are formed in a double tube structure in which either of the horizontal rotation shafts is configured of a cylindrical body and the other is inserted through the cylindrical body in the axial direction with a gap therebetween. |
